The alternative would be pee in the ocean. I figure spit is more socially acceptable.

I like to spit and pee. whats nice about the beaches here is that none are private. Anyone could walk right up and have a picnic at the foot of the dune in front of any house along the ocean and they cant say sh!t. This is courtesy of the Dongan Patent which is what is keeping us on the east end of LI from needing the state salt water fishing license that has been implemented in many states.

AI has expressed his concern of this license in his state and said it couldn't be avoided but our town attorneys are hard at work to keep the state from infringing on our rights as freeholders of the town to access the beaches and bottoms of the water surrounding our towns.

I like my privacy. Think I would get a place on Martha's Vineyard instead.

They will end up spending a lot of money to avoid it as its a federal law. This yr it was free , see what the future brings.

A saltwater recreational fishing license or registration issued by one of the following states/territories: Alabama, Alaska, American Samoa, California, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Guam, Louisiana, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Washington

That state or territory currently has an agreement in place with NOAA whereby anglers who possess a license are automatically registered. You do not need to take any further action at this point. However please make sure to learn about and follow the regulations where you will be fishing. You can contact the local department of natural resources or the National Marine Fisheries Service Regional Office for more information.

Do you come from a land with windmills?
Where women glow and men take pills?
Can't you drink, can't you drink grain of distill?
You better dig, and then you better cover.
