Any hints for finding shorted valves?

One of my guys is at a customer that has a valve reading .3 Ohms and he's having trouble finding it. He's found every other valve on the site. I told him to go slow and that he's probably going to just lose the signal when he gets over it instead of it screaming at him and suggested he run a tracer wire down the lateral line to see if he can get to it that way. Anybody got any other suggestions besides poke, poke?

Thanks.

Put 400 volts through the line, and look for the smoke

Slap boots up side the head to get a new magic 8 ball answer.

Hook the 521 to the common wire. Then if you have issues finding the valve, go to another valve and connect to the common there.

If that does not work go with 600 volts of DC power.

That solenoid must be hotter than hell, I had one the other day that was 10 ohms and I had to use channel locks to remove it.
