CAST Master Series Transformers - Component Change

As of August 2010, CAST Master Series Transformers no longer include the No-Surge Soft-Start Technology. Despite several ongoing improvements to these electronic components, they did not perform reliably in all cases.

We replaced the No-Surge Soft-Start units with a double-thermistor surge protection device. This surge protector is highly reliable and long-lasting.

Since we removed the soft-start function, we reduced the price of all Master Series Transformers.
