Ideas for drainage issue
A customer who is getting a great deal of runoff from his neighbor's property. The property line is divided by 4' ledgestone drystack wall. Whenever it rains, the water pours over the wall in all directions and into a large flower bed thus creating a huge mess.
Any ideas on how to effectively fix this issue? Is a dry well the answer? Thanks for your help. |

Pics would help.
All depends on the situation. First I would check your local building codes, as around here, the runoff from your property isn't supposed to go into the neighbors lawn. Is there any slope to the property? Can you put in a drain tile?

Definetly check local codes. Possibly you could put a channel well at the top of the wall, before the wall. Then drain pipe it to the end of the wall away from the bed area.

It sounds like the other home is in violation of the code, I'm not sure about in your area but it sure would be here.
