WAlker Mower- Is 26 fuel inj worth it

i have been running walkers with 20 hp kohler carb engines. Those of you who have used the 26 hp fuel injected engine, would you recommend it over the 20 hp or is the cost difference too much? i have someone who wants to sell me a 2007 with 100 hrs and 26 hp for $7500, so this information is needed to help me make a decision. Thanks for any advice.

In a heartbeat. Those 6 extra HP will make a world of difference. It'll feel like an all new mower and significantly stronger than your 20. I have a 28 EFI Koher on my Dixie and you can really feel the difference over the 25 Kohler carb engine.

yes 6 hp is great plus the fuel econ has been great for us compared to the 25 kaw air cooled. Not to mention the efi starts in cold weather or hot it runs the same. I love it and for that price buy it.

Ditto what Drew said about the starting. Turn the switch and they start; no choke, no carb issues. All of our MT models have the 26 efi. I've never used the 20 hp carb model, but I wouldn't think of having anything other than the 26. It is also very fuel efficient. I read recently that it is approximately 33% more fuel efficient. That alone will pay for the extra cost over a couple of seasons.
