I don't know about that... but in Fresno in the 1970s, there was folk wisdom being passed around that if you filled a couple clear plastic gallon milk jugs with water and placed them on your lawn that a dog would somehow be afraid to squat in between them... so you'd see these jugs on the lawns for blocks... I was just passing through town and saw and asked about them....

It's actually urine that chases away moles. Add some soap to the mix. Use in a sprayer on the area, then run the sprinklers so the mix gets into the soil. The soap just acts as a dispersant (makes the water 'wetter' so it seeps into the soil easier).

Human urine is supposed to work. Predator urine like fox is better, but hard to get the fox to pee in a cup.

Yep, aim for the mole holes. More points for holes further away. Makes a great game while sippin moonshine and chugging beer chasers. Keeps the missus happy that the men-folk aren't trudgin into the house every 5 minutes to use the indoor plumbing. Bathroom floor stays cleaner too.

Also keeps most of them dog walkers from lettin their hounds ruin your front yard. Of course them "fancy-fellers" with their toy poodles tend to linger awhile and watch the games.
