Isn't a Kenmore just a re-badged other manufacturer's machine like Maytag, Amana, Hotpoint???

Sears main line.

I'm sure there's a lot of rebadging but CR is pretty good on appliance recommendations.

The Kenmore product line is made for Sears by the leading appliance manufacturers and branded with the Kenmore name. Sears does not manufacture any products themselves.

The nameplate doesn't always indicate who makes your refrigerator, oven, or washer
Last reviewed: November 2009

Our recent tests of refrigerators included more than 75 models from 23 brands.

That's a lot of companies, until you play appliance detective and discover that the $21.8 billion annual market for refrigerators, ovens, washers, and other major home appliances isn't such a vast place after all.

It's also worth noting that the manufacturing arrangements change all the time.

The Whirlpool Corporation, based in Benton Harbor, Mich., makes Whirlpool, KitchenAid, and Gladiator products. The company has gobbled up Admiral, Amana, Jenn-Air, Magic Chef, and Maytag and all of these Whirlpool brands account for about 27.3 percent of major appliance sales in the U.S., followed by General Electric brands—GE and Hotpoint—(25.1percent), and the Sears Kenmore (16.7 percent).

Whirlpool makes appliances for Ikea, Sears Kenmore, and side-by-side built-in refrigerators for Thermador.

Whirlpool's certainly not the only Kenmore supplier. Frigidaire and LG also manufacture Kenmore refrigerators, Haier handles some of its compact fridges, and Danby makes some of its wine chillers, and Sanyo builds some of its freezers.

Ahhh... I read 5 pages & we are on friggin dryers? What about the phuker that stiffed you?

Have you considered a drive by? In the absence of the ability to legally re-institute the credit for work performed you can at least extract a pound of flesh.

Consider a herbicide called Sahara (you know as in desert... nod, nod; wink, wink). 4x the concentration with water and into a couple of balloons for a drive-by. Properly executed, untraceable other than some latex and nothing will grow there for about a year or two NOTHING!

Revenge is sweet

BTW I buy the cheapest pieces O'Crap washer and dyer that I can @ Brandsmart.com. Bought a pair of Huge O'matics for well under $500.00. Few options but the more options the more things go wrong. I have had them now for over 7 years no problems.

As far as the cat is concerned, they stop complaining after a while but begin to smell bad after about 3 or 4 days.

Got that lemonade stand up and running yet?

For the 5 repair trips they could have delivered a brand new unit for less money!

I think they finally figured that out...but now it has to go over to claims to make a choice on whether or not to continue the repair process which may take a couple days........to bad their 20 page contract limits their liability to the product only and not any indirect damages. which mean in arbitration I'd loose and claims on lost vaction time or cleaning costs...
