Sad part is how much ya pay doesnt realy seem to matter . There was a time when expensive meant good. Those days are gone.

What say you? A bucket, wash board, and piece of rope?

Sometimes it helps to have a pickup and an appliance hand truck at the ready.

I say it's the warranty and service. If I can't get a guy out to fix the dish washer in a jiffy then I suddenly find my self in a world of hurt. We go through a dish washer every two to three years. During that time I usually have a warranty claim or two. Kenmore (Sears) is really hard to schedule. I call my local guy, cost a little more up front, but he is here in a jiffy and gives me good deals as a loyal customer. With the dishwasher I have noticed if I buy a bosch or an hotpoint they both last around the same amount of time. Sure the bosch was quite and had a better dish layout, but died after three years. Same with the washer and drier, though we are averaging 5 on those. I am all about capacity.
