Not worth the risk. I would rather have a less than stellar employee than hard working felon. I think your clients would agree.

Im all for second chances, depending on the original circumstances... I used to manage a pizza joint, owner hired a person to be a delivery driver and assistant manager against my wishes. Found out that the person was a registered sex offender with 2 counts of indecent liberties on a minor. I really threw a fit when i found that out, but it didnt matter. The staff all knew his past, and most were younger females, so they were always on edge and so was I, not to mention having a registered offender for a delivery driver! And to really add insult to injury, that dude got me fired!
On the other hand, I used to work at a golf course that hired on a person that got caught up with the law and was working on a form of work release, and he was a great employee to have around and last I knew he is still there. Like I said, depends on the circumstances... |

I have a felon working for me. He does great work. In fact it’s hard for me to keep up with his pace at times. He is currently on parole and has been clean for the five years he has been out. This year he will be discharged off of parole. His parole officer has been out to the shop to check on the guy. They give him random drug tests; if he ever fails they say they will tell me. The guy has a wife, two kids and a dog. He is a great worker. Of course he is not a sex offender. I would never hire a sex offender. I will say the guy made a mistake at a very early adulthood. I believe in second chances in some cases.

i do believe in second chances but not when it comes to a clients property.
we do drug tests and background checks. as a mechanic, or shop help i could possibly see a minor record but never a felony, thief, or sexual charges www.zawadzkilandscaping.com
