I know you made this post a long, long time ago, but what do you mean by are the X475's new? Yeah they're new! for 2002 at least. I own a 2002 X485 and let me tell ya now, it's sweet. I will put a flex deck on it this year.
If you're interested in the Xseries, I can answer many of your questions since I have done a lot of market research before buying one.
p.s. nice to see a Deere-friendly person out there in the green industry!
