To the Trees!

I've been working a landscape lighting project the last couple of weeks (good job to have as irrigation slows down) and spent today doing tree work. Took a picture from my office this afternoon as I was hanging 40' +/- in the air from a rope in a tree. OK, actually I had 2 ropes double-crotched while I was working.

Anyway, thought I'd share the view. I can't imagine why I went into IT as my first career. It's so much better to be outside...

Yes, I was putting in a couple of fixtures, one to spotlight the fountain and one to downlight the couch area. They are LED but I'm still going to have to go up the tree every couple of years to adjust the hanger bolts and the wire ties so the tree doesn't grow over them or push the fixtures/wires off.

Most of the trees I can get to with a lift out here but this one was climbing gear only.

We're fine, Eddie, had a good summer up here, did some consulting, wife fractured her wrist and I'm learning to do dishes and laundry. We'll prolly bail out this week to Flagstaff, AZ until it gets wintery. Why don't you join us lowlifes at I.A in December?
