Echo 260 trimmer problems

My 260 has been in the shop twice once for a new carb and again for a rebuild. Echo says that they have had some problems with this unit. I don't think the company is going to do any recalls on this model. If you have purchased any 260 model in the last six months contact your dealer and have him do a compression test.
The 260 is a piece of junk in my opinion, it will not even balance. My older echo equipment is very good and works flawless. Think twice about purchaseing a 260 or 230 model in anything. The carbs on these units can't be adjusted and they have had problems with the rings seating. Your dealer can get a list of serial numbers that seem to have these problems.
