Liquid fall winterizer treatment in Utah

Hi, I would like some help putting together a liquid fall winterizer treatment to spray on Utah lawns. My thoughts are to go with a high N and K spray to give the lawn the food it needs to last through winter and give it a strong green up next spring. Then a solid dose of K, to strengthen the lawn and help it deal with the snow.

Is anyone else out there doing liquid winterizers?

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I use a potassium nitrate, SRN and ammonium sulfate based liquid fertilzer most of the year here. During the semi dormant season from December to April, I cut down on the additional N and use mostly potassium nitrate. 1 lb of potassium nitrate per 1000 will do the job. It is also a good idea to maintain adequate iron levels.
