Hunter "Dual" - New Decoder System
Has anyone seen this yet or had any hands on?
I just happened to be going through their new catalog this morning and saw this page. No other information on their website yet. I am wondering if the cost will be a lot less then the ACC-D. Have an email into some of my vendors to try and find pricing... |

First I've heard of it.
I'm sure the pricing will be way less than the ACC. Looks like it should be competitive with WM's SL 2-wire. I see that they are showing the DBR-6 600 volt splices with the decoders. I was recently told that the 600 v splices should be used on the 2-wire systems due to the higher voltages that they use. I've also always understood that the pre-filled wire nut type connectors should not be used on 2-wire systems because they interfere with the communications, although that info was back in the day of the first Hit Logic 2-wire systems. They have to worry about competing with this now.
http://www.rainbird.com/landscape/pr...rs/ESP-LXD.htm At the risk of having Kiril accuse me of being a rep I'm going to venture to say that the Rain Bird product will be far superior. |

My only guess is RB decoders will cost 3x as much as the Hunters.

I had the new RB two wire priced out today and it was about $800 for the base unit and about $75 for single station decoders
