do you ever have trouble with bigger rocks at the top of your walls? for the most part with rock walls around here the bigger rocks are set as anchors and closer to the top smaller rocks?

The base rocks are 4-5 feet in depth and the top are usually 2-4 feet in depth. Never had a problem with the bigger rocks as long as you get good compaction in your backfill soils.

Just looked through the Collee site, they have some amazing looking walls! I'd love to do a wall like that using granite from a pit. I've only done 3 walls out of dresser trap rock otherwise it's just field boulders. I should go take some shots of those walls.

They are just the towing mirrors from the 06+ trucks and then I had them painted white to match my truck.

very nice, I love building rock walls when i have plenty of rocks to pick from. seems like I always get stuck using all the left over ugly ones and those are hard to work with!

Pictures from last Thursday/Friday:

I hit an old drainage field when taking this wall down. They had problems with water on this corner of the road and I figured out why!

Load of boulders showed up. They come in either this quint or a side dump'r depending on space available to dump. I really like the quints rock box. The hydro cylinders hidden in the box are cool!
