Backyard renovation

In the process of leveling the family back yard for pavers and nice rock. Not my area of expertise, but it is coming along nicely.

Started out with nasty clay/dirt mix that made the back yard unusable any time it rained. So far we have only done the foundation work of killing grass, laying a thick layer of crushed concrete/limestone mix to level it out, and added some sand to help solidify the rock.

How long do you think I should wait for this foundation to settle before we finish up with the pavers and nice rock? Definitely a work in progress, but the weather is nice here in Texas (for how long?) so the more work we can get done this season the better.

Whack it all and lay your pavers now. What are you going to do when your pavers are goin to be an inch away from the top of your block where the tree is. and over the top of your three block?

we used a tamper to compact it.

Its not near finished yet, so the pavers being over the other pavers will not be a problem. We are going to add another layer of pavers where to ones already are to they will end up a bit higher as the barrier. Where the sand ends in the third photo, that is the wall and there is a drop off behind that to keep everything away from the fence and not sliding down the hill. That whole wall will be covered with the pavers that you see around the tree.
