This is what happens when you place a valve 3' away from a large oak tree.
Yup, there is a valve in there. Took me almost 1/2 an hour to get the valve box to come out of the root mass. I was being real careful with the solenoid wire, pictured on the tail gate, until I realized it was a root. |

I don't know that valve (wish we could zoom in on pics like my Airstream site enables us), but the white center part of the diaphragm appears chewed-on. Was that the problem?

PGA bonnet. No diaphragm there in the picture.
The valve was leaking where the bonnet and body meet. Topped out the valve and wrenched it down good. I would have preferred to replace it but the guy is already gonna choke on the bill for all of the other repairs. To go along with that it looks like his sewer line is broken too: |
