Ban AVBs! (Unless they're done with copper or brass)

AVB's are for pikers and those who scoff at plumbing code.

States that have plumbing codes that don't recognize properly installed AVB's as effective high hazard backflow protection are run by dumbasses.

What's strange, is that the code varies from State to State, even though we're supposed to be complying with uncle sugar's "Clean Water Act". AVBs are referred to, up here, as a "device", which means they cannot be tested, and are not approved for new construction (like anyone pulls a permit). A "approved assembly" generally indicates a DCVA or RPBA, PVAs are frowned on. Mitch might chime in as to current regs in WA, but it's weird every purveyor can set their own regs (and ignore them, as we've seen).

And yet ..... PVB's and AVB's properly installed are high hazard rated, DCVA's are not ...... go figure. Just more bureaucratic idiocy IMO.

This is Florida. Our governor ran the company that committed the largest case of fraud in Medicare history. We are the state that gave Dubya the election.

And you dare to call us dumbasses? It's on, Wrong Coast resident.
