Kawasaki FH500V fuel problem

I can't get fuel from tank to carb, I have replaced the fuel pump,removed and cleaned the tank, checked the lines , but still no fuel . I think I have the vacuum line hooked right, it goes from the pump to the top of the carb, is this correct. Thanks for any help I am about to go crazy with this one.

The inlet should be near the center of the carb LH side standing in front of the air filter.

Make sure you got the pump hooked up properly as well;

Thanks Restrorob, I appreciate the help, when I got this tractor it had the fuel lines and the vacuum line in a box, so it has been a trip. I still am not sure about the vacum line going from the engine to the pump, I know there is a vent coming off the carb , but also there is a place on the head next to the pump. Do you know which one this might be, I haven't been able to get a pic of this area. Thanks again.

It's not my intent to steal any of Rob's thunder here, but his pic is correct. The pulse connector on the pump is marked with a P(pulse) and connects to the head with a hose that is about 1.5" long with a short bend. With the pump mounted in the proper position it should be clear which connector is the inlet and outlet to the carb. The vent on the carb is the bowl vent/overflow and has no connection to the fuel pump.
