Seems that cooler weather quickly reduces lawns' resistance to fungal attack

This year I have been watching for insecticide attack after losing 75% of our lawn to sod webworms last fall, and thus far everything is fine. However, I noticed this November that brown patch occurred in several regions, where the St. Augustine grass simply turned yellow and died.

Is corn meal a natural solution to this?

Corn Meal has seemed to help in my experience on SA here....and yes it is helpful. Have you checked up on the irrigation to make sure that the homeowners are not over irrigating their properties and adding to the problem?
