Ford is the best. Of our 37,839 accounts, we service 2,159 residential accounts in a 4 day workweek with this baby. She's one of 48 trucks we have scattered across Texas!

If you want to run a gasser, get a Ford.
If you want a diesel, get a Dodge.

For a gasser go with a Chevy. The most reliable engine would be the 305 and 350 TBI. They are pretty much aging out ( but GM still makes them with good warranties!) so the Vortec 5.3 & 5.7 are the best for gas and power. The 6.0 and the 8.1 are strong but suck on gas real bad. Vortec engines have been made for soooooo long, reliable, better power then a Ford gasser. The Hemi is ballzy but is the worst on gas.
