Possibly the coolest thing ive done ??? Banana tree prep for winter/transplant....Actually had to get advice from the university with this one. There not common up here but can survive if the right species and winterised.

What did you do to winterize the bana tree's? I have those too, I usually cut them even with the ground and bury them in mulch. Is there a better way?

Jaybow, I rented a self leveling lift from home junko for 150 a day, then i used my trimmers and a buddy who had some redmax extendeds. It actually worked out very well. Ill try to get some pics of the lift. I scheduled some other tree work for the day so i spread the cost out over a couple of jobs..
Well worth the 150$


Rls 210, I ended up cutting it flush after i transplanted it. then addaed about a bale of hay/mulch/copmost combo mix....They are actually pretty cool, I was transplanting because it had stated to grow from the original.
