Simple Jack For ZTR

Kinda funny seeing all these special tools to raise a ztr machine but....what if you need to do an in field job? This is one of the things in my working truck that stays in the blower cage.

you haul all of that wood with you too? Why not just have a low profile jack?

I just got a little alum 3klb floor jack for cheap from Menards the other day just to keep with me.

I think you are refering to the MoJack in another thread. I view it as a shop tool not a field tool.

There is other stuff in the shop that I don't carry in the field either. I carry extra blades if one on the mower gets bent a little. I don't have the room to carry my 30 ton press out in the field.

I also carry bottle jacks and even a floor jack when I am out in the field. Air pumps or air tanks are handy too after plugging a tire in the field.

Am I the only one who uses the gate from my trailer as a jack to remove blades? The gate is already there so why not use? Drop gate, ride mower onto gate, set brake, remove blade, then do same process to other side.

Thats exactly what I do but for those that have enclosed trailers the ramps don't get the deck off the ground far enough to get the long bolt out of there. Well I guess you could on som that just have the bolt on the bottom but I have scags that have the bolt that runs all the way to the top.

But yep, thats exactly what I do. Works great.

I take along some wood for situation where I get "hung-up". I fell off into a concrete culvert and had to jack and build up blocks under one wheel until I could
have it pulled out. This jack takes up little room....have the others back
at the shop however. Trailer came unhooked once and I needed every piece of wood I could find to get it blocked and jacked up to recook. Trailer was swinging from the chains.

I have a Mojack on my trailer. It folds to six inches. I have used it for a tire change and blade sharpening. One of the best investments I have made.

www.themojack.com

I saw tractor supply had a sale also.
