Toro/Exmark discontinuing Walk behinds.

I talked to my dealer today and they said that a lot of the models have been discontinued for this year. The Grandstands are taking over the line. Not sure about all the models but he is sure on the 36" and 40".

That's about backwards... I could understand if they discontinued the bigger 48"+ walk behinds but the smaller 32", 36" and if there even is a 40"-44" I think it would be in their best interest to keep those in production. Not many people can or will spend $8,000 for a 36" stand on mower when they could get one for less than half that. Small mowers usually get used in smaller spaces, which is generally easier to walk in than ride, and small lawns = the need for lighter machines usually.

What I don't like about the Grandstands is the weight compared to a walk behind.A 36" Grandstand costs than a 48".
The 40" I looked at today was a nice machine.I had to measure my gated yards to make sure it would fit.

I simply don't see how that could be the case. No matter how popular stand on and ztrs become, there is a huge market for all sizes of walkbehinds. I would run exclusively walk behinds if I didn't bag 90 percent of my stuff.

Well you better grab it quick!!! You'd be just as well to pay a premium price for it too since they won't be making them any longer!!!

I found the 40" at a small shop by accident.

I get discounts at my local dealer. They could have beat his price by a few hundred bucks but they didn't have any and couldn't order them anymore.
I have emailed "The Toro Company" on here and asked them.
