Partnerships don't work. Might seem like a good idea to get started but you will regret it after a couple months. If you absolutely wanted to partner up for a lawn maintenance/landscaping business then one of you handle the maintenance and the other handle the landscaping jobs. Essentially that would make you individual owners of separate services that could supplement on jobs when necessary. Lots of good stories posted on this site about staying away from partnerships at all costs. I personally lost several thousand dollars "trying out" a partnership not including lawyer fees. Not enough money to go around when one of you is doing all the work and the other thinks they are entitled to sit back and cash your checks. Just my two cents.
