Best way to clean a chop saw?

Every year I keep telling myself that I'm going to clean my Stihl TS-400 after every use..............but it never happens. So now I've got year of concrete build up all over the plastic and was wondering how to go about cleaning it. I've tried a hose and brush but the don't cut it. I was wondering if there is something more aggressive that I can use that harm the saw.
