Anyone ever use a torch for weeds?

Are these worth having? I was thinking of using it on a gravel driveway and gravel paths to kill weeds rather than buying chemicals (pricey) and spraying.

You will typically have to do it 3 times before the weed is completely dead and wont come back. If you dont get too many replies..try moving this to the organic lawn care thread.

had a customer, older guy, ask me to. I just trimmed them every week 'cause i didnt have a torch. does it work?

It worked for me..i hated it though...I wont do it again unless the customer PAYS for it..i would rather carry around my backpack sprayer than a large tank and wand. Even better for drives..a small aerosal can with some killer in it. just my .02
