questions on an exmark turf tracer

Im looking at a 52" exmark turf tracer hp 16hp v twin ohv. it has the older controls. Not the ecs. Its from 2007. Just wondering how this mower works for guys with those controls and that size engine.

A 48" cuts well with a 16-17hp. A 52 is pushing it. So I guess it depends on price, if it's not dirt cheap I would look for a newer model with the 19hp and the ECS controls, they are so much better then pistol grips IMO.

You can get a 2010 or 2011 around here for that with the ECS and more hp. I understand it may be in really good shape, but if it was me, I'd keep looking, you'll be glad you did at the end of the season.

Might be older than 2007 - ECS was around way before '07, but the older controls still were an option.

I have an 52" '05 17HP ECS. 17HP is OK, anything more is better.

$2800 sounds like a better deal for him than you - Prices for new one however, much, much better for the dealer than you!!

I might want to get the serial and confirm that it is an 2007. Most were ECS in 2007. Only ones I remember being available in pistol grip were the metro's. Also it would be a 17 or a 19 kawi twin if it was a 2007, unless it was repowered. 16 is a bit weak for a 52. 19 or even a full size turf tracer with a 23 is best.

I believe they stopped producing those. Maybe a few floating around on shelves though
