2009 grandstand
hello,
i am set to pickup a 2009 40 inch grandstand in the next few weeks ( new). i am really having second thoughts about this purchase, with all the troubles on the 09 models. will toro have the dealer make all the corrections to this machine prior to me picking it up or will i have to bring it back for each problem? if this is the case i think i will not make this purchase. thank you, eric |

Let Toro know who the dealer is and the specific model you are looking at and we can call and talk to them and make sure the unit is fully updated before you take ownership of it.
Thank you, The Toro Company (Libby) |

Based upon the model & serial #, this is a 2010 40" (small chassis) GrandStand. There are no updates to be done to this machine. The only bulletin that applies to this machine is the "Fuel Cap" bulletin. I spoke with Tom @ Greenberg & he is going to contact you to explain the differences. Thanks, The Toro Company |

What is the FUEL CAP BULLETIN, you need to answer only if it also pertains to my 2010 48" 24hp unit, thank you.

mysteryman,
Due to material & process variations, it may be possible for fuel to leak between the fuel cap & tank filler neck threads. If a machine demonstrates this type of failure, simply replace the original cap with ratcheting fuel cap P/N 116-1704. 2010 models with 36"/40"/48"/52" decks are susceptible. The Toro Company |
