The following pictures are of a cedar shake restoration that we did in the city of Alexandria earlier in the Summer. Over 80 shakes were replaced, as the HO had let the roof go a bit too long without any maintenance. At American-ProTech, we follow the industry standard for cedar shakes and '3 stepped' the roof. We then stained it with a contractor grade stain that includes non-drying oils.

This is a rental property and both the HO and the Property Management firm were thrilled with the results. These roofs are very labor intensive in order to get the desired results. All in all, it was a very satisfying project.

We seem to be getting a lot more clients with Mansard roofs this year. The lady that owned this home wrote us a check and had to leave before we even started. She came home to a little more than she bargained for as we did her siding (front) and front porch as well at no charge. It only took a few minutes extra and likely left a lasting impression. And the place looked great!

This was a fun job - we did the main house, the 4 car garage, the 3 car garage and the brick play house. This place is offered by Christies for a mere 4.79M if anyone is interested. "Only minutes from CIA HQ."

This is a decent pic of a job that we just did at a local country club. This is one of the many carriage houses in one section of the community. The after picture was taken immediately after the roof treatment.
