hey gravely guys - what do you think about this price

I just got quoted $8299 for a 2010 Gravely pro turn 252. I was also quoted $5030 for a 2011 36" hydro WB. I told them I am interested in purchasing both mowers at the same time and within the next month.

I would rather have a 2011 - 252 but he said the new model is $8800.

I am not sure but these prices sound awfully close to retail to me.

On a side note - at the end of last season the same dealer quoted me $7829 on the exact same 52", and $4200 on a 2010 fixed deck 36 " hydro WB.

I was thinking of offering $12000 for both mowers. What do you guys think?

I was quoted $7,300 for the 252 last summer. Sounds like your dealer is trying to sell at retail.

Wise sales them for $7,399. I'm not saying that your dealer should be able to match their price, but $8,299 is way overpriced for that machine. He should be in the $7,500 range at least, considering it is a leftover model.

Both prices seem high to me. Almost bet you could save 2-3 thousand at a dealer I know on both mowers combined.

No the 152 from last year is sitting there and it's $7500 lol

I am trying to do the right thing here and support my local dealer but I am not paying retail.

Just curious did you get a price on the 152 pro-turn at that dealer? That's what I ended up buying last year.

Wow, that dealer is very high. That's above retail I think. I paid $6,600 for my 2010, and that included three extra sets of blades, extra oil and oil filter, and spare air filter.

any Gravely dealers out there? your input would be appreciated on this?

for the record the 2011 252 is MSRP $8999
and the 2011 36" Gravely WB is MSRP $5599

so basically he was offering me $1200 off of list price for both mowers
