Exmark 36" Metro Fuel Consumption?

Can someone on here who owns a metro 36 inch or 48 inch tell me how you're fuel consumption is? Since this is my first year, I really need to figure the cost of fuel into my prices, and normally with a 21 inch mower the fuel consumption is minimal. How much more gas does a 36in metro burn in comparison to a 21 inch exmark?

That's a pretty much impossible question to answer. I totally depends on how much you are going to mow. More gas than a 21, yes. Less time to mow the same area saves you more than the difference in gas cost. The cost of mower gas is almost insignificant compared to the vehicle gas cost. I have never broken it out but at an average of $1000/month in gas, I would guess that less than 10% goes in the mowers/weedeaters, etc.

I don't mean to sound like an ass but I see these questions alot and I just don't understand theses inquiries. You are looking at an engine that is 3x the size of a regular 21" mower, so it will use alot more than 21". As stated before it all depends on how you mow what the condition/thickness of the lawn etc, but seriously if you have to ask and worry about the rice of fuel...this isn't your game. It's equivalent to someone buying a hummer and worrying about fuel economy. If it helps my f3060 kubota gets about 12 hours of hard use using 30 litres of diesel..so your use should quite minimal in comparison..and my 44" 15 hp toro walk behind gets filled about 2x per month...20 litres

good luck in your year...I usually spend more in gatorade than fuel in a day lol

I have a 15hp Kohler on an Exmark Viking, 36". My best estimate would be 0.60 gal/hr. Your Kaw is probably twin, so don't know how to match -- more or less?
