Mind sharing some of the granuales or individual mound baits that seem to work well? Or at least point me in the right research direction.

Come on man, Did you get your license out of a Cracker Jack Box??? Didn't anyone train you on how to use a search engine.

OK Do a Search here on LS for Fire Ants and look for thread I either started or posted in. I have put so much Fire Ant information on Lawnsite I am surprised I am not called the Fire Ant Kid.

Sorry Ric you have so many post I have only found a few that helped with fire ants.

Here we have a sandy loam soil so I'm thinking that topchoice will give me 8 months of control or so. That would cover March-November or when our warm season grasses are green. I'm thinking of offering the one app of top choice or 4 apps or so of your mix or another. Just to give the customer a choice. We don't see the hills here year round like you might in Florida.

Like I am the only source of Fire Ant control information????? You mean your land grant university doesn't have Fire Ant information on their website??? Come on now you can't expect to be spoon fed all your life. I told you my program and Gregory backed it up. You didn't have the equipment so I gave you an other method that I also use in certain cases. But now you still want me to hold your hand. Enough is Enough. My patience's is shot I can't deal with it any more.

Try Google For the Texas Two Step for Fire Ants. Hell just try and Google Fire Ant Control but don't ask me any more questions about Fire ants.

Ric

Thanks for all your help, but you seem to be annoyed at any additional questions I ask. You have told me what you do for fire ants and I have noted it. Might take a break from this thread unless you have some useful information to share other than bashing my "cracker jack" certification and need to be spoon fed all my application info.

Look forward to seeing what others suggest and have had success with.

I started feeling bad for jumping on you. So I did a quick search to find this thread about Fire Ants STARTED BY YOU.

I am sorry but after reading the above link I got even madder.

This study seems to put topchoice and talstar granular at the top of the list. Seems to give a quick kill and good prevention.

Ric- your program may work for you, but I would love to find a brodcast application. I can't apply at a high volume and don't want to depend on the home owner to run the irrigation. I am looking to go with the broadcast method first and then can to individual mound treatments on call backs.

Especially when you can ask the same question over and over each year.

Around here we just use gasoline for fire ants...it also has the same killing effect on yellow jackets.
