The safety vulcher

Does anybody use the safety vulcher on the side of the mower deck? Do you like it?

Since I know what you are talking about, others may not... Here's a link to the "Vulcher mulcher" chute blocker.

http://www.vulcher.com/

HAHA, just watching the video... Looks like it was shot about 15+ years ago. You have to get off the mower to adjust from open to close, no handle. And all the claims about how "magically" it turns any mower into a mulcher, just by blocking off the chute! Yeaahhhh right!

Oops, after the circa 1988 video I looked at the models now and see that they DO have a remote handle on them now... I like the manual operation (the ones with the electric motor and switches, just something that BREAKS!) Also nice there's many positions for the blocker available, not just open and closed, or that plus 25% open.

A piece of sheet metal and a couple of bolts can be a lot cheaper.

I won one to demo here. Biggest piece of .........., just blew leaves right out the plastic side vent. It did not stay on my mower more than 30 minutes, I was very disappointed.

I'm not sure about that video, either the guy on the mower has somone else blow off the pavement or he is on his second day on the job, who does that? It also looks like it was shot by a highschool AV club. The powerchute looks to be a better product hands down and my dealer promotes them over the Exmark one for all his mowers.
