Anyone using sludge removal pellets or tablets? If so, what's your experience and what brand?

Don't use the product, but I do have a couple of questions concerning this type of product.

First, the answer to this one is supplied by the manufacturer and that is Oxygen levels should be closely monitored when using this type of product due to the substantially increased Oxygen demand by the heavy bacteria count. This could be risky in a pond with a heavy fish load.

Secondly, maybe someone out there can supply an answer, what happens to the end products that are produced by this additional bacterial action? Is there a resultant heavy NitrAte load? What happens to the Phosphorus that is released? Is the pH greatly reduced by the likely production of Carbonic acid?
