Need fertilizer license in ohio for organic fertilizer?

I was thinking about using organic fertilizer (Example: Scotts Organic fertilizer). Do you need a license to put it down in the state of Ohio? Thanks!

A person needs to be licensed by the State of Ohio if they're applying pesticides (herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, rodenticides) and they do it either for hire, or in the act of barter.
A person also need to be licensed if they apply pesticides as an employee of designated sites like cemeteries, parks & sports complexes.
An individual does not need to carry a license to apply fertilizer of any type in this state.

Thats good info. so say a client wants fert plus pre-em, that requires a license correct? whats about spreading a product like snapshot in flower beds

My two cents .... don't get information on subjects like this on a public forum. Go to the appropriate regulatory agency in your state and get the information you need.

Called the Ohio Department of Agriculture today. You are able to spread any fertilizer as long as it does not contain any weed killer.
