Customers Get First App Free!

On the last day of February a few of my customers received a free application from TGCL. Customers called me and asked if I was out treating already and I told them was not...sure enough they checked their yard to find a TGCL sign. Now, these are former TGCL customers that have written cancellation in hand, yet they still showed up. They even offered one customer to continue their service for half price if they'ed stay.

One customer has complete Zoysia throughout. It's dormant and they applied liquid fertilizer and preemergent in February.

Gotta love them though...they're keeping me in business.

TG/CL has always been a high pressures sales Outfit. This is just another way of upping the sales Pressure. When that one customer calls back after TG/CL, Tell them you be happy to put them on your waiting list.

None of my customer switched back... they were just furious and the one they offered half price service to asked why they had been overcharging him so long if they could have been doing it for half. They told him it was a "promotional" deal.

Hard to believe--but does anyone think Tru G did that on purpose?

If so, be prepared for same to happen in your town.

Riggle

I am thinking this is Not the first time something like this has been posted on LS. I seem to remember it happening before. TG/CL Hires and trains their employees to be highly aggressive and High Pressure. That type of pressures lends to Ghosting Account and dishonest practices of all kinds. Some of those former TG/CL Employees are either natural Liars or trained Liars that can't quit lying after the leave TG/CL and make Lying a way of life. I think we see that type of dishonesty here on LS by a one or two former TG/CL employees.

One of my customers told me they were going door to door in his neighborhood. They are really pushing this year. I canceled with them back in June of last year after I got licensed, they called me 4 times since then and twice in the last two months. Not to mention a few letters. They sent me a letter wanting me back for more than I was paying when I canceled.

Dave...
