Okay, yeah, I would love to find a magic elixir. I can understand why this topic seems to irk the resident experts.
My brother uses my log splitter quite a bit. Usually he's on top of things. Gas was left in it since approx Feb or March 2012. Won't start, not getting fuel. I thoroughly cleaned that carb a couple years ago, it ran as it should in Feb when I used it last. I think this is an ideal test. If MIB saves me from pulling a carb as advertised, $6 sounds fair enough. Label mentions a second treatment may be needed. We will see. Treated log splitter today at noon. Ive got a pretty full day for tomorrow, so I may not have time to post results till Tues, but I plan to try it in the morning. Posted via Mobile Device |

At the Pure-gas.org site there is an embedded link to fuel testers website.
There is some real interesting information there to read about safety, effectiveness on some additives. I'm sure with a little more searching one could find a totally up to date product list but here's the link. http://www.fuel-testers.com/is_gas_a..._e10_list.html

No dice. Wasted $6. After the "treatment", I tried it again. No fuel getting through. Dropped the bowl, I could hardly believe how much crud was in there. Red, brown, black sediment. Didn't have a chance. No getting around a fuel tank flush, new filter and a carb cleaning/rebuild.

The nanobot enriched WaterMagnet would have cleaned that carb.... If I can just get them buggers to stop eating plastic and aluminum...

Lol. Probably should huh? It was a long shot at best. If it worked, I'd pay $20.

Well Ed, I used it per label directions. Not sure what you mean about using it properly. I'm just guessing, but it seems they likely list different directions on different packages. IE: single use vs bulk.
This place used to be a friendly forum, seems to be a bunch a half cocked motor mouths anymore. What can I say, had carb problem, posted about using product, shared my results. No reason to start bashing anybody for doing it improperly. Just posting to leave some feedback for potential MIB users. Not a stock holder, not a Kool-Aid drinker. Not a mechanic. No dog in the fight. Bad on me for wanting a "magic potion" to save me from an unpleasant task. I have no idea why folks on both side seem so worked up about another additive.
