Hustler Z

I may buy a Hustler demo., a "Z" I think, with only 14 hours on it, 60", 23 HP engine (unknown manufacturer), - - for $6,800. I was told that there is no mulch kit available for it. Is this the case?

Thanks.

If it is a 60" Huster Z, we have a mulch kit available, it is part #346411 and MSRP is $95.00
We make mulch kits for everything we make in current production

Hope this helps

It's in my garage!

Thanks for the info., PJ.

The Hustler Z with the 23 HP Kaw. engine is in my garage. I bought it on Friday. I had to demo. it for moments before realizing it was far more mower than the Exmark I demo'd. The biggest selling point for me is the hydraulics on the Hustler, far and away stronger than the other mowers. My sloped three-acre yard was a problem in some points for the Exmark, but the Hustler is safe and secure on the hills.

I only wish there was a good mulching option - - the rep. told me the mulching attachment is basically a plate bolted to block the outflow - - not a true mulching option in my opinion. It would lay down a nice furrow of cut grass at the outlet, wouldn't it?

I am very happy with the Hustler.

Let me also tell you this - - the rep., a man that used to do lawn work full time, but now only 1.5 days a week, was asked by his local dealer to demo. his equipment. This rep. told me that he can't in good conscience sell either the Cub Cadet nor the Gravely equipment that they carry, as the Hustler line is so far superior. This rep. also told me that he had just seen a Great Dane demo.'d and couldn't believe how much less mower it was than the Hustler.

Congrats on the new mower !!!!

The mulch kit contains 3 plates.
1 for the discharge side and 1 each for the blades.
It does separate the blades from each other.
This along with a set of Gator blades does a great job of mulching.
