Check the plants!
I made a rookie mistake the other day. Picked up 23 15 gal. Podies and 27 7 gal. Podies for an install from my usual nursery who always has quality sod/plants only to find scale on all them while arriving at the job site. Rule #1, check the material at the nursery!
