Facebook specials
While Facebook isn't my main way of marketing. I like it to pass info and upcoming services on to people. It's a great way to share photos.
Anyone do "specials?" I was thinking of doing a "comment an share this status and get 10% off your November weed control application." Anyone done an ad? Share your experiences. Posted via Mobile Device |

Also, if you haven't already, you should read the Facebook ToS re: offers and promotions.

I consistently hear marketing specialists discuss the value of Social Media. Facebook, in particular, frustrates me.
Few customers will be interested in joining a business Facebook page. Strategies to entice them to join could include adding your Facebook URL to an Auto Responder or adding a Facebook symbol to your website sidebar. I personally think it's easier to set up a user profile and add friends. This probably isn't part of Facebook's TOS, but I'm sure Zuck wont lose any sleep.

I've spent a fair amount on facebook ads. The "problem" with them is that you can't send them to links outside facebook or it's just a waste of money. Drive them to "like" your page and then you can hopefully get a dialog going with them. However, it's a big question mark, meaning you hope at some people convert to customers at some point but it doesn't happen quickly so it's hard to get an ROI calculation on it.

You've done an excellent job on branding it. Pottstown PA, eh? I once had a friend who lived along Fawn Lane. Small world.

No worries Kirk, I checked out your G+ page as well.
Given the trend line I think G+ will become more a more important interaction tool than Facebook in the coming years. It's growing very quickly.
