shindaiwa or echo

making a purchase this week, need a hedge trimmer. Demo'd the shindaiwa 242 this weekend and was very pleased, but for 500 bucks am considering buying a multi tool. Never used Echo before...

whats better, shindaiwa or echo?

I know its personal preference and this thread has most likely been posted before, but need some advice on which multi system is better.

How about Remax. Can't go wrong with echo 265 multi tool though.

Stay away from Shandai, some guy allegedly just got screwed in an earlier post.

I have a m242, trimmer, edger, pwr broom, hedge clipper, pole saw. All work great, I also have a t242 that the hired help uses. The multi tool is nice as you don't have multi engines barely being used. I have it set up that it gets used most days.

Ya then he says he wasn't so who knows. In his profile he's got like three other Shind so I dunna, seems like a loyal customer. Why not help the guy out for 20 dollar part. Gurantee he won't buy from them again and will tell all his friends about it.

By his posts I'm sure he is to dumb to know. Just a guy that wants to scream. If he's smart he would see how much money he made on the hedge clipper and not care (if he is smart enough to charge right which I doubt). Just a guy acting like a 12yr old.

I'm real big on Echo just because my 10 year old pb403 blower and srm210 trimmer still crank first pull (backups) Also just got the pb770 (most powerful blower) and picked up their handheld hedge trimmers last fall hc150 ($300) Never have had 1 problem with any of it.

The equipment that's 10 years old hasn't had as much as a spark plug change. I still have guys trying to tell me Echo isn't commercial grade. Sigh. Honestly know nothing of shindawai hedge trimmers but you're golden with Echo.

Guys like you is what I'm talking about. You just pop in a thread and down something with no information or knowledge as to why? What happened you couldn't figure out how to start a echo trimmer? Please provide solid information as to why one should "stay away" from Echo???
