Everyone hates on Echo, but I love my weed whacker.

Red Max or Stihl are two pricier but great options. Redmax makes the best back pack blowers out there.

Correct however Echo applied for got addition time to meet the governments mandate for 4 mix/4 stroke emission requirements

at the end of the day It's a toss up to many variables mechanical aptitude, maintenance, etc etc

Yes if people would do some research and check they would find that Echo, Shindaiwa and Kioritz are all owned and are subsidiary's of the Yamabiko Corp/group out of Tokyo Japan and Stihl has nothing to do with Echo.
