Gravely Pro-Turn 148 XDZ or Bad Boy CZT 50?

I've been reading many posts on this site regarding ZTR's and have narrowed my choice to these two machines. Based only on these three criteria, which machine would anyone with knowledge of these two ztr's recommend?

1. Cut Quality with bermuda grass (flat, flood irrigated lot in central Arizona).
Is the x-factor deck on the Gravely a better deck? Is one more prone to clogging than the other?

2. Operator comfort, ease of operation.

3. Durability (I would guess they are both very good machines as they are both considered "commercial" grade, and I believe they have the same transmission) Which is a better engine, the Vangard 23 HP or the Kawisaki FX 24 HP?

Thank you for any advice/recommendations. This is a great forum for this type of information.

i think those two mowers are very close in comparison. the bad boy is certainly cheaper. my advice to you is to drive them both and then compare dealer support. i love my gravely 252 btw.

It's ashame your not closer! I would sell you mine. I have a CZT 42" with the full bagger kit! It is brand new. I don't know what it would cost to ship one, but I will make you a great deal! 16 hours on the clock and it looks like it came off the showroom floor. I am looking for a 36" mower, that is the only reason I am getting rid of it!
