HAVE A CUSTOMER WHO HAS LOST TWO 100+YEAR OLD OAKS DUE TO HOLLY TAKING OVER AND SMOTHERING THESE TREES.HAS ANYONE HAD THIS PROBLEM,AND HOW DID YOU DEAL WITH IT? No sense just cutting down woody weeds, they will grow right back, and usually denser. Cut weed tree or vine as close to horizontal plane as possible, then drill a few holes in top of stump. Fill holes and flood cut with FULL STRENGTH woody plant killer. Many types on market, most of them just combos of 2,4-D or Roundup. I have always liked triclopyr, if you can find it as active ingredient. I use a large eyedropper for applying herbicide.<p>----------<br>Jim<br>North central Indiana<br>
