1992 Wheel Horse

i've decided this is the year imma paint this puppy it's not in desperate need of a paint job but it does have a few rust spots here and there so i wanna get them taken care of before these little problems become big problems. the first picture is the day it got delivered, 5/14/07. it only had 350 hours on it then and currently has 398.8 on it. the first order of business for this project was to get the old muffler off. sprayed some ff on there, let it sit for a day, sprayed some more on there then the next day started it up and used it's own heat instead of the torch. one nut came right off the clamp, while the other side snapped. made a heck of a smoke show too

after the clamp was off i sprayed some more ff on there then used the handle of my breaker bar to start movin it back and forth. i was pleasently surprised that it came right off i'm still waiting on the muffler i ordered to get here. i found an old car muffler clamp in my pile of bolts int he shed so i sprayed that up good so it's ready to go when the muffler gets here next step was to take the deck off for the first time and spray the nuts for the blades. i haven't gotten around to taking them off yet but i'm not expecting them to give me any trouble when i get to it the deck needs more tlc than any other part of the tractor

you aint seen nothin yet this is a old set of cast iron wheel weights off (i believe) an allis chalmers, they make a world of difference too! i didn't put a ton of time into them. just cleaned up the front side a bit then ff'd the inside before bolting it back up. i'll touch up the edge of the rim once the warm weather decided to show up didn't bother doing anything to the rims except spraying them down. the bolts were still in great shape, the nuts not so much but a lil dab of ff took care of that
