Got Great Green Lawn Tips Here in 2007, Now Need Help Again!

Greetings!

My first post was on 08-09-2007 asking for help here for my first lawn in the USA.

Thanks again to all who responded to my first post and others here. Please see my updated pictures of my yard that grew green by learning here.

Here was my first post and a lawn in distress

Here are pictures of the same yard after learning here (and following fertilize schedule of Advanced Turf Solutions http://www.advancedturf.net/ in Fishers, IN. Great Folks)

Last fall I moved to Austin and inherited St. Augustine Grass (I think). A totally new beast than KBG that I had in Indiana. Spring is here and I turned my sprinklers on this week for twice a week 25 minute per zone schedule.

I need help from Pros who will be willing to share their knowledge and be assured I will tend the yard religiously as I did last time.

So far I have learnt the following
1. Mow St. Augustine high.
2. It does not like foot traffic.
3. It goes brown in dormant months.

I stay away from HD and Lowes. I have found Lesco/John Deree in Pflugerville but they didnít have a fertilizer schedule when I asked for one.

I need to find a good fertilizer shop in Austin as well, please share if you know a store with helpful folks.

So far I have found one place about 45 minutes away and this is their program

Please see my current pictures and share your valuable 2 cents.

Cheers!

Anyone any help

I talked to the owner of a mowing company mowing the yards in my neighbor hood. He said that my front (where all brown) is due to chinch bugs. And the other side of front has wild grass. So he recommended killing all the grass in front and putting new sod of Sr. Augustine.

I am thinking to get more opinions. I am thinking this is perhaps "take all patch" or some other issues.

See the pictures of nice front lawns last year (current state is in the link of first post)

Thanks
