Mulch kit for Toro Z Master

I have been debating in installing a mulch kit on my 52" 255 Toro Z Master. Is there anybody using it and how do you like it. Does it work on pine straw as well as leaves? My local dealer told me $200 at first, then I told him that a dealer from FL could ship it to my door for $155 he met that price. I told him that I had contacted Toro and they said expect to pay $125-175. I'm getting tired of bagging leaves and pinestraw with my Craftman when I a brand new Z sitting on the trailer

I've got one on a 44" Z Master and seems to work well with leaves. I haven't had the "opportunity" to try it on pine straw. Bottom line is that so far, I'm pleased with it. It's a mammyjammer to put on though. I had to remove the deck. I ordered mine from Alamia.com in Denver Col.

Do I take this to mean that the rest of the Z Master crowd does not use the Mulch Kit. I lucked out yesterday because my local dealer was sold out and told me to call him today so any imput that I get would be better than none. Thanks Fvstringpicker. Looking at the picture can you remove the cover plate and do side discharge with ease? or is it a job to side discharge after installing the kit?

I run the mulch kit on my 44" Z-Master and love it. I only put it on in the winter time to mulch leaves so I don't have to bag them. It works so good that I don't even have a bagger for any of the mowers on the trailer. Sometimes you have to double cut an area to get the leaves to mulch, but that is fine with me. Instalation is pretty simple I installed mine by myself in about an hour or two, just follow ther instructions. It will be a well spent 155 dollars.

As far as I know, you can't side discharge after installing the mulching kit. But I've been doing 100% multching and haven't thought about side discharging since I installed the kit. I tried it on pine straw in my yard with relative success. However, I wouldn't recommend it heavy straw. I've been using the toro "atomic" mulching blades. If some other blades work as well or better I'd like to know.
