ok....I think key info would help as well, such as Maintenance only or for Install work too.

Maintenance I run an Excursion (F250 ish) its way overkill and a pig on gas, but I didn't pay anything for it so it works. When I get a new truck it will be a 1500 for maintenance only.

I hear the radio guru (the car guy) this weekend say the Tundra was more like a 1 ton truck than other 1/2 tons but it is not in the class of a F-250.

currently I'm running a dodge ram 1500.

next time a 3/4 ton is what I'll be getting.

since it was requested although I fail to see why it matters. I use mine for maintenance only. but I only do maintenance.

I'd use it for installs if I did them. the vehicle really has nothing to do with doing maintenance or installs. one isn't better than another.

i run a 2500. I would be just fine with a 1/2 truck, but I have a big camper that a 1/2 couldn't handle.
