Got the half ton lettered up as well, and built a tarp system for the dump insert.

Kinda enjoy looking back to older times, really cranked things up in the last few years here. One truck, a 5x10 trailer with a 36wb and low grade handhelds for the mowing side. A snow shovel and junk blower for the snow side. Now running multiple stihl handhelds and two walkers, plus the gravely. Carried on a 7x18 trailer pulled by a 3/4ton diesel. Now the snow side consists of many shovels, a good blower, and two trucks! I guess I'm doing something right.

Still going on leaf cleanups for some reason...had to stop a little for a salting event. The diesel is on the road to recovery right now. Getting her a new transmission, wasn't planning to do it until next spring, but she didn't make it.

Awesome stuff man. You're definitely on the right track and doing it right. I'm 19 trying to grow my biz and its already crazy to look back and think that last winter all I had was my truck I bought with a loan, right out of high school, now I have my trailer, rider, plow, crazy how fast things have changed. Keep it up man love those OBS Fords. Hell with a new trans you could get that 250 to 500K!

You've probably already answered this somewhere on this thread, but what do you use as your "main" mower?

Well, for those who don't know. The Gravely is gone, it picked up a small tick at the end of the year. Took it in to the dealer to have it looked at. They told me it was a bent push rod and broken valve guide. So basically needed a new head put on. The mower was used hard while I had it, and needed a bunch of little misc. repairs. While we were standing at the trailer talking about my gravely I saw JD walk behind sitting there. Went over to look at it just for the heck of it, realized it was a 48", and hydro. I had been wanting a 48" mower for some time that would run down a Walker stripe. So long story short, I traded my worn out gravely with a hurt motor. For the JD walk behind that is much cleaner, a 48", good tires, low hours, etc. I kept the Accelerator bagger I had on the gravely. They gave me a brand new sulky and a brand new Shindaiwa T242 trimmer as well. Some may wonder why go back with a wb, but I know its what will be best for my business and for my area. Enjoy.
